Closed account without notice despite on-time payments

My account was closed without any notice, despite paying balance due, on time, for years. When I called customer service, they simply hid behind their "company policy" knowing full well that they are damaging people's credit. Appalling and unacceptable! DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS CREDITOR!!

You cannot get anyone on the phone without a hassle and then you cannot understand them...and then they send you emails that are not relevant and the issue is ignored and you have to start all over

The instance is not as important as the fact that nobody( on the phone) listens and nobody that tries to listen understands simple issues. I asked about a mystery charge on my card. They cancelled the card and issued a new one without a clue.

I want to talk to rep that has authority to access credit report. I have used this bank and THEY DO NOT REPOET COMPLETED PAYMENTS FOR CHARGES THRU THEIR BANK. I have tried many times to speak to a rep

This bank is not available and does NJ to report the transactions that are paid in a timely way. I have purchased items using this "bank", paid off the amount and I've recently viewed my credit history as ND there is no report of my purchase charged to carry balance thru the bank and then paid off via automatic pay and the credit information waz not gotwatded to credit bureau.

I have tried multiple days at different days and I cannot speak to someone as I get disconnected after 20 minutes. I will NEVER purchase items thru shopping with this bank.

I was encouraged to dobso but this bank needs investigation... It's not a bank I'll ever do business and I'm going to continue toake my credit accurate and flag this bank as as fly by nite internet "co" that HSN OUGHT TO BEWARE!!!

Can't Get Anything done

They canceled my card and there's just no way to get one back. Balance paid and i have great credit. Literally just no one that can help you past resetting a password or something. Also random hang ups, spent way too much time trying here just to be told by 5 different people they can't do anything

Make a payment

Im out of town taking care of a disabled person until 3-7-24. I didnt bring my credit card with me because I wouldnt need it. I forgot my payment was due on the 28th. I wanted to pay my balance but cannot get through on your phone lines.

Make a payment

I was on hold for over 20 minutes. I want to pay my balance on my account. I dont have my card because Im in Florida for work. Taking care of a disabled child. I didnt bring my card with me because of traveling. Got a notice my payment was due and just trying to get through to make my payment. Thank you.

Closed accounts

I made my first on a prepaid card. Twice the website automatically put my payment on that card when i made it. I immediately realized it and made the payment on my bank card. I made every payment early and way over my minimum due. They closed my account. Now I am going to have a derogatory mark on my report, when I did everything I was supposed to do. And they cant reopen it or change anything. I am frustrated because I tried to remove the wrong card and it still automatically dis the wrong one. And either way they got my payment so I dont think they had a reason to close it.

Harassing Behavior

Behavior of staff very harassing once you are even one payment behind or even send partial payment to keep in good standings.

Explain to them your getting check coming to get caught up on payment missed. They don't care will call 8am to 10am and will use multiple numbers to call you.

If your family members are in same bank they will use there data information to contact them with your account issue.

I have never heard of such disrespectful process like this till now violting data and personal information about you are direct violation to term an policy agreement.

ANYONE READ THIS: file your report directly with the FTC complaint about this business shut them down. Federal Trade Commission will investigate them every time you file reports.

A partial payment does not keep an account in good standing. You can give the rep payment info over the phone and have it post dated for when your check is coming. You are on your way to having your account closed.

Chat doesn't know what they're doing!

I have had my Amazon Prime card thru Synchrony for many years now and never had a problem. A couple of months ago I had a guy cause me to run into a curb and blow out a tire and damaged a part up front by the tire.

And this idiot kept going! So I bought a replacement tire and then noticed the problem with driving, went to Pep Boys and they told me it was going to cost me $900 to fix the part. Got the Pep Boys card and it went thru Synchrony to pay on. TODAY!!

Had changed the due date last month to have it due same as my Amazon card, but today it showed due TODAY! So to avoid another late fee I paid it, then chatted in with synchrony. DON'T EVERY USE THAT OPTION! Call them.

I think they just throw people in there with no training and I finally got the correct number to call about the card as you don't call Synchrony, there's a separate number. They couldn't verify due date on chat. Called Pep Boys card number, which is still Synchrony and got a really wonderful woman that helped me straighten things out. This is the only reason I have a 3 stars.

They would've gotten a 0 if not for her. They had changed my due date to the 20th last month but the website still showed the 1st. Now all of a sudden it shows no due date till 12/20.

This woman credited back my payment and has it set or the 20th of this month like it shows now. I WILL NEVER USE CHAT ON SYNCHRONY AGAIN!!

3 cards with Synchrony, perfect payment history on ALL cards not just theirs and they lowered the limit to the point the cards are useless. Losing the free credit line also dropped my credit score

Lowered limit on Harbor Freight card from 1000 to 140. I had purchased 1 item for 600 and paid more than the minimum every month on time every time. Lowered limit on Walgreens card from 1500 to 100. I made small charges and paid them off in no more than two months. Lowered my Lowes limit from 100 to 840 (balance). Perfect payment history, always more than the minimum. 100% of my accounts have been paid on time and over minimum with all banks for years. Just as my credit score was set to move into the better level, they have screwed my utilization and lowered the score.
